STA 0+00 · GRADING & EARTHWORK
Grade is a sequence. Run it like one.
Strip, cut, moisture-condition, compact, fine grade — every step waits on the one before it. Parli keeps the sequence, the blade, and the tester on the same page, so finish dates stop drifting.
STA 0+50 · THE GRIND
Sound familiar?
- The blade sits while the pad it needs isn’t compacted yet.
- Compaction testing shows up a day early — or two late.
- Cut/fill progress lives in the foreman’s head until Friday.
STA 1+00 · SEQUENCE
The pad build, step by step, on a calendar.
Strip to stockpile, cut to subgrade, condition, compact, fine grade — as tasks with dates, progress, and the machines booked against each one. Slide one and see what slides with it.
STA 2+00 · COPILOT
Ask the board a question. Get a dispatcher’s answer.
Who’s on the pad this week? Is anything double-booked? Read the answer yourself — names, machines, the exact overlap, and an offer to fix it. The assistant reads the live schedule and proposes; you confirm. This is real footage.
STA 5+00 · SAY IT, DON’T TYPE IT
Run the board with your voice.
Gloves on, wind blowing, one hand on the truck door — talk to Parli like you’d talk to your dispatcher. It hears the job, proposes the move, and waits for your go-ahead before it touches anything.
“Push final grade on the north pad to Friday and move the compaction test with it.”
Fine grade moved to Friday. The test visit shifts to Friday 1 PM — want me to email the tester the new time?
Changes only happen after you confirm.
